Balance
A personal fine arts series, these nine pieces explore the tension between the maximal and minimal. It is finding the balance between extremes — chaos and silence, hustle and leisure — that one becomes fully human. Piece 1, “Chaos,” sets the maximal end the color scheme. Piece 2, “Silence,” traces the contours of “Chaos” and empties it of color, setting the minimal half of the color scheme. As the two styles slowly merge with each proceeding piece, the subjects also become more human until finally, in Piece 9, a complete being forms.
